I joined Connect Search and Selection in October 2014 after completing a BSc in Geology at Durham University and MSc in Environmental Geography at Sheffield University, with a year abroad at Texas Tech University.

I started working for Connect Search and Selection as a consultant within WasteRecruit,  I have loved learning about the waste industry, from the innovative ways global FM companies manage waste through behavioural change to seeing a busy transfer station in action.

WasteRecruit have always been involved in Environmental recruitment, with Geosciences being an area of particular interest to me.  In September 2017 we began to develop EnviRecruit as a brand, allowing me to focus on environmental recruitment.

Vacancies I typically work on include: Hydrogeologists, Environmental Consultants, Permitting Consultants, Ecologists,  Geo-environmental and Geo-technical Engineers.

When I’m not in the office you can find me getting my hands dirty in my allotment, I love growing my own fruit and vegetables and coming up with ways to recycle and upcycle in the garden.

I am also a keen amateur photographer and love getting out into the countryside and photographing wildlife.

I’ve worked in environmental recruitment since 1996 and in 2003 established WasteRecruit as the first specialist recruiter in the sector. I’ve worked across pretty much every industrial sector and recruited into pretty much any discipline you can think of.

I graduated with a BSc in Environmental Management and I’m a Fellow of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation. Additionally, I’m a member of the CIWM.

I’m passionate about helping clients to recruit great people and there’s nothing more satisfying than hearing how well a new recruit is getting on.

Outside of work my family takes up the majority of my time. I’m also a keen hockey player and a Level 2 coach with Yateley Hockey Club. When time allows I love a round of golf.
